“Design in Advertising, when it works and when it doesn’t.“
Are design and advertising enemies? Strange bedfellows? Distant cousins? Should they meet more often? If you’re in the business of design or advertising, join the panel discussion what is sure to be a spirited talk to kick off the festival.

Odin Saille, Creative Director, DDB Brussels
Odin creates advertising campaigns, radio content, products, artwork, darn good looking babies, and ‘pretty good for an amateur’ food. His output has been recognized and awarded by Cannes Lions, D&AD, Eurobest, Epica, New York Festivals, Rolling Stone, Wired, Pitchfork, The Guardian, TIME, and others.
Hendrik Everaerts, Creative Director, TBWA\Designer
In a distant past Hendrik founded Design is Dead with his brother. They had the time of their lives making top notch design in Macromedia Flash (yes, those were the days). 13 years later, he got a call from the future: TBWA. Today Hendrik is running TBWA\Designer. putting graphic design at the heart of communication and advertising.
Jirka De Preter, Graphic Designer
Jirka started as an intern at Duval Guillaume in New York and then joined BaseDesign. After soms projects for M HKA Jirka decided to start on her own. Next to the branding and graphic design projects, Jirka also loves to make illustrations. She doesn’t believe a good designer has to be invisible. Good design is about finding the perfect answer to the right question.
