Born in 1973, self-taught Raphaël Cruyt, story boarder, pipeline welder and press cartoonist, opened Alice gallery in 2005 with Alice van den Abeele, his partner in crime. The Gallery collaborations with artists such as Parra, Barry McGee, Todd James, Delta, Invader, Nicolas Karakatsanis, Jeroen Erosie, Cleon Peterson … have built his point of view.

In 2016, Raphael and Alice opened the MIMA, the Millennium Iconoclast Museum of Art in Molenbeek, with the complicity of Florence and Michel de Launoit. The couple also assures the artistic direction of the Museum. Their vision is Glocal. The exhibitions echoes an emerging globalized culture that is transversal, participatory, empathetic and hyper-connected.

Currently, Raphaël, Alice and Brecht Vandenbroucke present a MIMA exhibition entitled “Art Is Comic” with artists Joan Cornellà, Jean Jullien, Colonel & Spit, HuskMitNavn, Brecht Evens and Brecht Vandenbroucke.
